Welcome

As Provost of South Ayrshire, I am honoured to welcome the 37th Ayr Concert Series to Ayr Town Hall.

There is so much vision and hard work involved for the volunteers who work tirelessly to bring these wonderful concerts to Ayr, and I’d like to record my grateful thanks and appreciation to everyone involved. This Series will feature Nicola Benedetti, “the country’s favourite violinist”, the Gordon Cree Orchestra with international soloist Cheryl Forbes, the renowned Scottish Chamber Orchestra under Andrew Manze with Rachel Redmond, and The Orchestra of Scottish Opera conducted by Julia Jones with Catriona Hewitson and Ross Cumming, all bringing us inspirational concert pieces.  I’d encourage you to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
